Editions & Framing

All prints in my shop are original works of art that have been designed and hand-printed by me. I use oil-based printing inks and Rives BFK paper, unless otherwise noted. Due to the nature of reduction woodcuts (the block is destroyed during the process), there will never be more prints produced beyond the listed edition number. When they sell out, I cannot make any more. Consider yourself warned! For other less limited printmaking techniques, such as single-layer woodcut, collagraph or drypoint, please know that I hold to the same ethic in regard to edition size.

Most works in my online shop are available for sale either framed or unframed. Large format works are only available for sale unframed due to the increased risk of damage during shipping. I custom frame each piece with acid-free matting materials, regular glass* and aluminum frames. I use white mats and black frames, intended to highlight the artwork. If you prefer a different mat/frame/glass style, please order unframed work and seek out assistance at your local frame shop.

Please note that UV glass is NOT required for protection of my prints. The use of any glass at all is solely to protect the piece from dust, moisture, puncture, etc. The pigments in my oil-based inks are just as light-fast as an oil painting on canvas. Would you place an oil painting behind UV glass? I didn't think so...
